We only think it's ugly because it's not in fashion right now. Also, I plan on teaching my children about safe sex, and not just because the statistics regarding circumcision and STI infection rates come from extremely small sample sizes and result in relatively minuscule differences. Safe sex is the best policy for all people, circumcised or not.

Circumcising your baby so his penis doesn't "look ugly" would be like subjecting your infant daughter to painful laser treatments so she never grows pubic hair just because the shaved look is in right now.

The circumcised look has been "in" for Jews for three thousand years.

I have no definitive stance. My debate was even though you are born with certain features doesn't always mean that it is there for a reason. Some are removed for future health reasons and some for vanity or cultural purposes. Circumcision isn't that important to me as it would be to someone's culture that mandates it as part of their faith. There is one point I can agree with you on and that is I do not believe that such modifications should be done when you are a child. Let the decision be made by the person when they are old enough to understand.
