I'm on Sprint. Samsung Epic 4G.

I would never use an iPhone since all iPhone users I've met are colossal douches ;^)

If even those didn't work it's common fucking sense to not have it floating around the internet, since there are already alternatives for the existing KATG fans.
Maybe for now the app needs to stay in this thread & not be released to the market. I'd like to see this be the best choice for listening to KATG instead of going to alternatives. Flux, I'm ok if you find no use for this app ever. Honestly I've been a bit jealous that there was only an app for apple devices. I don't like Apple's closed policies, so I won't be owning their hardware. I've looked at his code & it appears that the fix to the problem was simple. I'm not saying that finding the problem was simple.

It's unfortunate that an update to the app broke the streaming ability. Its unfortunate that Keith, Tech007, or another person following the thread didn't PM him sooner. I'm willing to take responsibility for not sending him a PM when I saw Tech007's post. I was just being patient & waiting for it to be fixed.

I'm interested in keeping this app alive & I want to contribute & help improve it. If it needs to be an unofficial app, I'm OK with that. I don't believe that the app should be scrapped because of Keith's complaints. It would be good if Keith or Chemda had an android phone so they could test the app like they did when Doug was building the iphone version.

Not for that. I have an iPhone and the app works fine for me. If I chose to get an android phone, if the next iPhone doesn't impress, count me in.

Case in point.

Also, if you use an Android phone and you aren't using PodTrapper to download and listen to KATG, you should really check it out. It's the best.

No need to be a dick and cut off the rest of my post in an attempt to prove a point. Did you think no one would read the original and see that you are being the douche? The app for the phone I have works! What am I suppose to say? Besides, I finished the post by saying IF I do get and Android phone, I would gladly help.

I'm on AT&T (Inspire 4g, not rooted) and I can load non-market apps. Search for Android Sideload Wonder machine. This link has a video about it but the process is pretty intuitive as it is. I haven't looked in the github repository yet, but I assume it is not compiled into an APK, so you'll need to do that.

EDIT: APK's are in github so fuck that last sentence

Glad to hear this! Thanks for posting the link! I'll try to add it the first post when I release a new update.

I agree!

I too did not take any extra steps to contact Joel when streaming died in 1.2. I presumed he was busy/incommunicado. And the forums was 'the' place to leave feedback.

Joel, thanks again for the app. I use it daily to stream live. And unfortunately for Keith, the feedback even works.

It was disheartening to see the app release get unstable just as Keith did some mentions of it on the show. Your subsequent delay in fixing was made just a bit more painful due to all the new attention.

I look forward to the app getting some more loving and getting all tricked out like the iPhone version.

Once again I say thanks for all the time you've spent making this available for FREE. Donate or spread the word!! Install on yer friends phones!
