I may be missing the point with the Cohen brother's DIRECTION of the film, but the source material is entirely different.

And I know they were being ambiguous with the fact, to leave it open for debate, however having read the book, does it make sense that one of the most vital scenes they would change for themselves? Every theme matched with the book, except this?

That's my only major argument. Unless they talk about it, there's no way we'll know for absolute certainty. I think the parallel to the book makes it even more grey.

They may have not used anything that was "fake" in the movie, but would they switch that part in the book? I might be swayed on the argument otherwise.

Just another note - The book completely focused on the entire feeling of Bell's apathy and him giving up on the new world that he felt was there. He cared so much about his wife, and would do anything to not leave her alone.

Does anyone know the theory of how Anton and the sheriff are the same person? I can't find it anywhere and I just watched the movie in that mindset and it didnt really work too well...

That would be because the theory is asinine.

Search the forums for 'Jurassic Park' and 'Christmas' if you must.

No country for old Men

I actually really, really liked this film I thought the direction was great and the performances especially by Bardem where the best I have seen in along time. I loved the confrontation at the end with the wife where Bardem is trying to get her to flip the coin to decide her fate and she refuses the dialouge between them is outstanding. Overall I think this was worthy of the Oscar and all of the buzz that it has generated. If you haven't see this NOW!!
