Le Sigh,

The Fleurs Des Lys on his calf is a bit "political, but i'll forgive my GSP....

He is actually a really sweet person in real life from the people I know who have met and trained with him. He used to train in a in Montreal for the longest time. Stuck to himself but trained with the locals, gave advice....was a role model. I know he was training there even after making it mega big/mega rich. If he wasn't in Vegas he was in that gym...cool.

He's pretty damn awesome.

He is known as one of the guys who travels a lot for training at different specialist places between fights but when he's "in camp" he still trains the majority of his time under Firas Zahabi at the Tristar Gym in Saint-Laurent.

Well he has done a lot for the sport in general. Even when he was being booed in Vegas he was a gentleman, not a meathead. A true athelete

True dat, GSP is the best ambassador the sport has right now and in fact is the #1 pay-per-view draw in all of MMA, over and above Anderson Silva. The UFC is very lucky to have him.

And in less than 24 hours we'll see what the 19 month lay-off has meant to him and what finally getting a title shot means to Carlos Condit. BRING IT!!!

Condit by Sub in the first.

I want GSP to lose so bad. Seeing the king of the hill fall is simply an extraordinary event.

Remember when BJ lost to Frankie the first time? When Aldo took out Mike Brown? When Bendo beat Frankie? I remember those moments like it was 9/11.

Looks like your boy Nick Diaz is going to get the chance to do what Carlos couldn't Mike. In terms of fairness, of course it's bullshit, but Hendricks will get his turn. In terms of entertainment, it's the perfect match-up for the welterweight title.

And man GSP looked amazing against Carlos. If that's GSP with ring rust then Nick Diaz has his work cut out for him big time.

Meanwhile, Ronda gets her first assignment as the first women's UFC champion - vs Liz Caramouche at UFC-157. It's real.

Meanwhile, meanwhile ... fuck ... yes ...

Awesome that this event is free on Fox and not pay-per-view.

I am really not enjoying this trend in the UFC of the most popular fighter getting opportunities and/or title shots. The mantra of the UFC for a long time now has been the best fight the best and that just isn't happening anymore.

That said Nick Diaz vs GSP is a good matchup and should make for a competitive fight stylistically. Weird that you can come off of a loss to the guy that just lost the last title shot and then get a title shot of your own.

That's what happens when you buy Strikeforce. Their habits rub off on you and you start giving title shots to people coming off a loss.
