My thoughts exactly, really nothing unexpected happened.

A great point I heard was that Bones's killer instinct saved his ass last night. If he was a Bendo/GSP type decision fighter he would have lost his belt sitting on the stool. It wouldn't have meant much, since we'd already seen in no uncertain terms who the superior fighter was, but it would have cocked up his official record at least. Such a fucking bummer after waiting so long to see him in the cage again he's now likely out for another extended period.

Also disappointing to see Magalhaes and Belcher blowing their guts out halfway through the first round after trash-talking their way into good match-ups. I assume they have good conditioning and it was some kind of adrenaline dump, but those two fights were so one-sided it was almost sad.

Siler/Holobaugh and Healy/Miller were awesome though, and it was good to see Caraway put the ridiculousness of Japan behind him and get the finish on Johnny Bedford. I tried not to like Caraway for a while but it didn't work. Mofo is a legit scrapper. And who doesn't enjoy seeing Big Country sitting on the top of the cage rail rubbing his gargantuan trucker belly?

Yeah sure but nothing game changing. Not that I expected there to be but I don't regret sitting this one out.

Gina unloads and then jumps on Kaitlin like a spider monkey. It's badass.

The mma journalists I follow were talking about women's mma today and they brought up a great point. Women's MMA is so hot right now is because it's not oversaturated and every single female fight we see, be it invicta, bellator or ufc are all with top 10 women. We just never see female equivalents of Kyle Noke vs Chris Camozzi, or Ed Herman vs Clifford Starks.

I still don't like it. I don't mind female grappling matches, but it's hard for me to watch stand up fights. The girls usually don't have the power or explosiveness - and when they do, like in the Tate vs Zingano fight, I find it uncomfortable to watch. I guess it makes me a grumpy old relic, but it's the way it is. It might change but I've been following the sport since the Tank Abbott days and I've seen 20-30 female MMA fights during that time, and I still haven't gotten used to seeing women bleed and grimace with pain.

I've heard that before, and I understand. Some people just don't like to see women getting hurt. It's not a sexist thing either. I can understand that deep down in the core of a man is an evolutionary device to protect women. Matt Hughes, without being so eloquent, has said similar things like this when he voices disapproval for female fighting.

I definitely flinch more when the women fight than the men but I also recognize that generally speaking they fight with at least 50% more firey passion than the men do which results in a much higher percentage of entertaining fights. There's almost never any point-fighting or stalling in women's fights. They fight like they mean it.

I'm voting for Invicta at the next year's MMA Awards. THERE I SAID IT!
