Podcasts that make you a better person :::...

A few years back there was a list of top ten podcasts to make you smarter and as I recall katg got a mention on the list along with Dan Carlin's stuff and Econ Talk to name a few.

In a similar vein to this list I was hoping people could name some podcasts that make you a better person or something along those lines.

I nominate:

This American Life
The Moth Podcast
Radiolab
TEDtalks

Also, I'm sure there's some kind of meditation podcast that I don't listen to, but should. If so, it should be on the list, as it seems like all the best people I know do some kind of meditation.

stuff you should know - The show has two hosts with great banter, who casually discuss both broad and specific, simple and complex topics ranging from pop culture to cutting edge science, art, and trivia.

stuff you missed in history class - Same format as above but with different hosts, and all history is up for grabs.

Stuff mom never told you - Same deal, two other hosts talk about anything that might have anything to do with women. All of the 'Stuff' shows are about 30 mins an episode, on one topic and they're really easy to listen to and learn from.

How much do we love - Two friends talk about things they like. Great way to perk up your day, and find out about a variety of things you might want to check out, from recipes, to products and even habits or clothes or fun coincidences.

How to do everything - Very similar vibe to This American Life, but centered around answering audience questions on how to do things. They have celebrities answer questions like "how do you insult someone?"

Trans-Ponder - Sadly, they are planning to end the show with episode 200 (they're on 187 right now, and seem to have trouble getting updates out, which is probably why 200 is the end). But if you have any questions or interests in learning about transgender people, and what their experience is, this show is fun, informative and interesting. Also, you can year a lot of call-ins from college student me, which is embarrassing and illuminating, I'm sure.

2 guys 1 brain - Probably won't make you smarter, but if you're like me and don't know much about law enforcement or the (literal) shit these guys have to deal with, this podcast by 2 very funny jailers from the pacific northwest is a real eye-opener.
EDIT: Since the parameters were making you a better person, than I guess it qualifies, because listening to this has gained me a newfound respect for cops and law enforcement types.

Those are three of my favourites, I'll have to check out Radiolab.

Come, Doffer Deep, let us rule the universe as fatrolls in an uncomfortably form-fitting shirt and son.
