Podshow numbers

From the podshow FAQ - I wonder if this is part of their 52M number?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In addition to original program and user-submitted shows, PodShow has a directory of Podcasts from all over the web! So even if you are not siged up with PodShow, if your podcast is publicly listed on the web, it might show up as a PodShow 'unofficial guide', such as this one for the Daily Source Code:

http://www.podshow.com/showguide/?ke...d_type=ext_url

Note that there is a link to the website of the show in this unofficial guide and the episodes are not on our server, we simply link your RSS feed. If for any reason you do not want our users to be able to listen to/watch your show (free publicity can be a cruel mistress), please send a message to customer support using the link below and we will suppress your feed.

And then from the ad they took out in that trade magazine, and this older press release, we know they sell to advertisers that they have control over all those shows.

The older press release where they claim 60,000 shows:

That is especially interesting when you consider that Business Week just claimed there were only 55,000 active podcasts in the entire Podosphere...

"Indeed, fewer than 100 of the people running the 55,000 active podcasts have been able to quit their day jobs, estimates Rob Walch, a podcasting veteran who produces Presidential candidate John Edwards' podcast."
