I listen to talk radio occasionally, but as far as music stations, I can't even stomach them and haven't listened to one in like 4-5 years. My Zune is becoming more and more full of podcasts. I use an FM transmitter (I know fuck me right?) Works okay, but there are spots when I get a lot of static. Oh well my drive to work only last 12 minutes.

SEE? argh...

12 mins huh? lucky you. sometimes getting to "work" (a gig) takes an hour and sometimes i WISH katg was on instead of some annoying DJ who just won't play the music and just keeps talking and talking

I've had mixed results with those FM transmitters. I think it depends on the location of the Car's antenna and the general radio "traffic" in your area. I've had the same FM transmitter work horibbly in one car, then great in another. Try before you buy, or buy from a place you can easily return it to.

I have my car set up, it takes me about 45 minutes each way to work and I spend a lot of time in my car so I bought an Alpine deck and it has Sirius satellite and an iPod hookup in the glovebox then I never have to touch the iPod I control it through the deck. I love it so much I need new speakers cause I think I might have broken one
On the FM Transmitters don't they pick up other peoples iPod's or satellite radios sometimes? My husband used to have his satellite radio in the car and it would change channels when someone else with a stronger transmitter was near.

I often hear Sirrius radio on my FM transmitter (from someone else's car) because there's really only 1 FM frequency in the Toronto area that's "open"... actually, it's "less bad".
When I bought my car, I had to get one with an AUX jack. Go Honda Civic!
