i dont hate rogan. i dislike his attitude, whiler i like his comedy. i never liked him since i saw his first dvd and heard his interviews in early 2000. hes funny and his podcast has gotten better but he still rubs me the wrong way.

why am i not allowed to have an opinion and express it? you dont like maron and lots of other people. so what.

Cast aside. Well that explains a lot, good to know. I had assumed that it was that I was busy and kept in contact with my forums people by more direct means.

Thank god you worked that out for me.

You're an invaluable individual in my quest to understand the world around me.

I never said you weren't allowed to have an opinion. You referred to someone you know very little about as 'despicable' and can only back it up with a bunch of misinformation, pre-conceived notions and a 2 minute clip from a 2+ hour podcast, I could've used a 2 minute clip from the Maron interview with Dane Cook to make people believe they were acting like kiss ass buddies.. same goes for Mencia and Maron.

You're right, I don't like Maron and indeed 'so what'. But if you're going to rail on someone and label them as a despicable person, at least make an effort to see both sides and get your facts straight. That's all I'm saying.

BTW: I'm ignoring all the idiots at aren't talking about the Rogan WTF episode. That is the only reason I'm here.

its decreasing on his podcast, but still, i cant shake that off.

Maron is even more condescending than him, but i find him more prone to self criticism and standing on his points. might be just me, i always followed rogan's comedy but could not hear him talk cause i always found him douchey.

i even used to like Dane Cook. Never liked Mencia. so my opinion is disconnected form keith's point of view on them.

If only we all were so lucky to have both an overabundance of mental issues and a complete understanding of reality as serial has.

If the best you can do, serial, to take a stab at me is pick something that a few seconds with a pair of scissors would fix, I must be doing pretty well.

Are you a liar or amusingly self-deluded? You're still here. You still blog and twit about how much KaTG sucks. That's not moving on.

It's the internet... gormless turds want attention.

I don't know about the podcast you're talking about, but this thread certainly gave me a few chuckles.

It's apples and oranges to me. If Joe didn't take the role hosting Fear Factor someone else would have. He was a cog in the machine at most, and if it wasn't him there would have been some other cog. That's why to place any blame on Rogan for the degradation of the quality of TV shows is misguided.

If Mencia didn't steal and didn't actively step on smaller standups there was nobody else ready to step in to take that job like there were for Fear Factor. Joe hurt nobody.

"Fairly silly at times" is a perfect description of Rogan, and I only get his show when he has a good guest on because he's not the greatest host/interviewer on it. And it's not that he's a bad interviewer always, he does a fine job for the UFC, it's just the vibe of his podcast is pretty lacklustre.

Maron I listen to every show because he is the greatest host/interviewer.

Yeah, that's one of Marc's greatest assets. His self-criticism and vulnerability isn't just disarming for fans, it brings out the vulnerability in the guests too.

THis was the first time I heard WTF and Joe Rogan's podcast...WTF is superior in terms of entertainment and it is true he is a great interviewer from the little I have heard. I think though that he sounded like he was chewing on an awful lot of sour grapes in the Joe Rogan interview. That being said he did warn the audience and Joe that he was jealous of Joe. IT seemed to me he was trying desperately to marginalize Joe's success because he gained his big bucks on a show Marc considers sub-human. I didn't like how Joe kind of bought into Marc's bullying by admitting he regretted the show and would be the one laughing at it if he weren't the one in the hosting chair but I LOVED how he countered with, i will paraphrase, there is comfort in financial security.

I also like how Joe said he isn't then man at 43 that he was at 21 and with age has brought some mellowing to his personality. I thought that was kind of honest and humble.

Junk, I get why you don't like his podcast, it can be very much like sitting around in a party where you're the only sober one there and the rest are pontificating "stoner theories". I liked him in this interview, I thought if we had been watching a chess match Joe won.
