The blog post about KaTG was written last year and the only time I've tweeted about KaTG was Sunday night when I asked what happened to the forums.. and I said it was a serious question, I wasn't hating.

You can keep trying to attack me, it doesn't affect me at all.. just makes you look pathetic.

IT seemed to me he was trying desperately to marginalize Joe's success because he gained his big bucks on a show Marc considers sub-human. I didn't like how Joe kind of bought into Marc's bullying by admitting he regretted the show and would be the one laughing at it if he weren't the one in the hosting chair but I LOVED how he countered with, i will paraphrase, there is comfort in financial security.

I also like how Joe said he isn't then man at 43 that he was at 21 and with age has brought some mellowing to his personality. I thought that was kind of honest and humble.

Junk, I get why you don't like his podcast, it can be very much like sitting around in a party where you're the only sober one there and the rest are pontificating "stoner theories". I liked him in this interview, I thought if we had been watching a chess match Joe won.
I agree for the most part. Joe's podcast isn't an interview and that's why some people have a hard time getting into it, it took me a good 3 or 4 tries to really start enjoying it. He rarely has guests on to "interview" them, it's usually just a conversation between friends. I like it because it very rarely talks about Hollywood gossip and boring TV shit, it's more for people interested in conspiracy theories, "stoner talk", the occasional MMA/UFC talk and other thought provoking topics. It's definitely not for everyone and I can see how people going into it expecting an interview would be disappointed or turned off.

I've tried to get into Maron's but his passive aggression comes across so thick on every episode that, on the times I've listened to it, I normally bail mid-way in his first boring, self-indulgent rant. If that show does it for you, I'm not going to tell you to not listen to it.. it's just not for me like JRE isn't for you.. (not you Campy, just in general).

As I said, I came here merely to get opinions of others not in the Rogan "camp". It's so sad yet also entertaining to see how desperate some people here are to hate and attack.

You're probably right. My approach to the episode was biased. I followed the tweets maron posted freuqently, saying that Joe kinda refused the interview for a while and it made my bias stronger.

I like Marc and i dislike Joe (again only in terms of non-standup attitudes) so i guess that influencces me. The answers that for many came out as intelligent and humble, sounded condescending to me.

For example: he declares to be taking human growth hormone, and in front of Marc appalled reaction, he answers he "wants his bdy to work well". With that enlightened, know-it-all tone. I thought he sounded like a nutjob, very similar to how mencia sounded (and i'm speak in terms of delusaion not about theft or whatsoever ) on his WTF episode.

He seems to have lots of fan with his podcast, so i guess i'll have to listen better. but i doubt i'll change my view.

such good buddies! fuck Rogan. he only starts ffights when its convenient and then "moves on", where Marc never backed off from his statements even if that meant looking like an asshole. I'd take his value and integrity on Rogfan fake rebel schtick any day.
You mean like how maron didn't try any of that smug passive agggresive shit when he interveiwed robin williams. He played kid gloves with the super star and a smug asshole with the meathead.

no, i dont think so. i listened to the Williams/Mencia/Cook episodes in a row. he doesnt avoid the subject of joke theft, he uses a less harsh tone cause he has a better relationship with williams. all Maron's interview are strictly tied to how HE feels about who he is interviewing. If he doesnt like the person, it will come out. If he likes them, it will sound more firendly.

If he wanted to kiss ass, he wouldnt have even talked about the issue but he does. one can like or dislike how he is and how he does things, but he doesnt hide or acts shady.

You're wrong, maron was being nice because it was his first big interview, and as he's said multiple times, that episode is by far the most downloaded of his. Also during the episode they talk about how they actually had no relationship, and it was really the first time they'd ever talked. Then during the interview when he finally approached the subject of joke stealing he really let williams off with the "well everyone else did it" excuse and hardly pushed the subject. If you were to really put things into perspective williams has hurt comedy in terms of integrity/setting an example for the community far more than joe rogan has with his shitty reality tv show. Yet maron was over the top nice with williams and vicious with rogan. Im not so much critizing maron for acting as one would expect him to, knowing his resentment for his more sucessful peers, but its silly to try and say he was totally being the perfect interviewer and saying rogan is a despicable person that deserved it.

There are bullies in these forums, I went into the Rogan boards and was scared away by that element. Everyone is entitled to an opinion right so that means the haters too. I guess we all have to develop a thicker skin if we are going to put shit out there on the internet. Rogan says something about this in the WTF interview...being exposed to poisonous events, attitudes, people makes you immune to the bullshit. So what if someone calls you out in here, it doesn't matter. Everyone has a little Hater and Troll in them in the forums, I am sure you've said some things to piss some people off and they'll say things to piss you off....it is the nature of a forum like this.

Thank you Bucho for the compliment !!!

Junk, I got the feeling from the Rogan Marc interview that Rogan felt he was a few steps higher in the food chain from Marc and was able to humour him in the interview. I thought, for how I perceive Rogan, he was being very humble because he could afford to be with this guy. That doesn't mean that he IS humble, just that he was in this interview. I don't know Rogan, just a very little bit of what he puts out there and it seems he has that "what I am telling you now is 100% true and you're an idiot if you don't believe it" attitude. But, from the people I know who smoke pot regularly, some have the tendency to think this way (haters, take aim).

I would listen to both podcasts again because no matter how you slice it, to me, both were entertaining.

Now, I GOTS to hear the Williams interview
