He said he did not know that he would ever use the word "victory": "This is not the sort of struggle where you take a hill, plant the flag and go home to a victory parade... it's not war with a simple slogan."

And it's quite a conspiracy theory, considering that the Taliban offered bin Laden up and Bush said "no." Open your fucking eyes. Iraq was the target long before 9/11 even happened. We were attacked by a Saudi terrorist group yet we invade a totally different country.

After the bombing of Afghanistan began in October 2001, the Taliban did offer to turn over Osama bin Laden to a third party country in return for the US ending the bombing along with evidence that Osama bin Laden was involved in the 9/11 attacks. This offer was rejected by George W Bush stating that this was no longer negotiable with Bush responding that "There's no need to discuss innocence or guilt. We know he's guilty."

Had lunch with my son at school today, what weird'd me out was the 'moment of silence'. The principal had the entire 3rd grade lunch group sit quietly followed by God Bless America.

I mean come on! I think I'm as patriotic as the next guy- but these kids were like 1 year old when it happened.

I feel more weirded out by April 19th than by September 11th.

April 19, 1775 Revolution begins-Lexington Common, shot "heard round the world"
April 19, 1995 Truck bomb at Federal Building in Oklahoma City, kills 168
April 19, 1993 Final attack and siege at Mount Carmel in Waco, TX against the compound held by the Branch Davidians
April 19, 2005 Pope Benedict XVI, Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, becomes the 265th pope

"The event is being hosted by the UW College Republicans, in partnership with the College Democrats of Madison, the Associated Students of Madison, the Federalist Society, the Muslim Student Association, Army ROTC, and the Badger Herald."

I like how the kids can all come together.

Am I missing something here?

What happened on September 11th? What year? If your going to start a thread be specific. I don't have time to research everything.

(for the record, I don't agree with the guy's conspiracies, but the questioning of college students is nuts)

Dana Perino says we caught the guy responsible for 9/11 so no need to worry, you can go on about your business:

Quote:
Q: But Osama bin Laden is the one that - you keep talking about his lieutenants, and, yes, they are very important, but Osama bin Laden was the mastermind of 9/11 -

PERINO: No, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was the mastermind of 9/11, and he’s sitting in jail right now.
