YES!

It does. I work for a publishing company and work with dates constantly. In a meeting yesterday "9/11" was said about a hundred times and each time everyone kind of paused. It is very weird... sad.

I'm not even including the death toll in Afghanistan. I'm NOT SAYING that 9/11 wasn't a huge deal to us, but when you put it into perspective on a global scale it's easy to understand how someone from another country might think we're taking advantage of what happened to us in order to strike out blindly across the world.
Hippies have no shortage of "Bush did this" shit to counter everything.

Spain has the ability to stop attacks like the train bombings yet it still happened. World hunger can and should be treated, but it's a fact of life. Terrorist attacks shouldn't be.
This is a ridiculous statement.

War is a fact of life. War is a product of people wishing to inflict harm on others. Terrorism is a product of people wishing to inflict harm on others, so it is war. Thus, terrorism is a fact of life.

Then the only way you can contend terrorism shouldn't be a fact of life is that it is preventable. By your own admission world hunger is preventable, so why is that a fact of life?

There will always be a lowest rung on the economic ladder; that is a fact of life. That the very same group will starve is not.

Wow, I thought only American conservatives were quick to lump everyone who didn't agree with them as tree huggin' liberal hippies.

Guess I was wrong.

BTW, that is referencing Picard, just so there is no confusion.

911 was a classic false flag attack, a modern Reichstag along the lines of Operation Northwoods. I understand those who wish to put it behind them and move on. I stand with those who are trying to push for an independent investigation.

Watch or ignore, it's all good with me.

I'm sure we can put the C&W aside for an appropriate period.

No.

I did make sure to wish people a happy September 11th though. I don't want people to think I'm an asshole.
