This was my question...

I work at the office on a Mac and at home on a PC...the difference is astounding. The elegance of a Mac operating system is not to be compared.

PC is functional but clumsy at best. It is not intuitive at all....it would be like comparing Word to InDesign...no comparison.

Enjoy your PC, lots of people do but do it knowing there's something better out there you just don't know how to use it is all.
@D, I could do what I do on a PC any day , I just would die inside if I had to...

And then you make conclusions about their intelligence and completely ignore my refutation of that which I have posted twice now, once after you asked me to post it again, and now I am forced to do it a third time.

The entire contention I have had with what you have said is the matter of intelligence, which you have entirely omitted from your summary of our posts.

This sentence contains the point of my reply to the post where we agreed, according to you:

In that sentence I am saying level of knowledge in one particular area is not indicative of overall intelligence. You made statements to the contrary preceeding and succeeding that post, which makes it utterly impossible for you to have agreed with me in those posts, and yet you think you do, which is only possible to think if you do not understand what I said.

I have twice posted a direct, concise, and simple refutation of what you have said, and still you do not know how we disagree at all. That is as close to failing to grasp the point as can possibly be accomplished.

That's what I'm trying to say. Macs are very aesthetically appealing and easy to use, like a child's toy. But they are extremely restrictive, and set in stone. On a PC, you can make it do anything you want, or develope whatever your heart desires. But if all that your heart desires is on a Mac, then use a Mac.

Bob, I responded to that quote a thousand times. You even quoted a response of mine to that statement. I'm really astonished that you don't see it. If all you want is on fucking Mac, then use a fucking Mac. How does that change the fact that Macs sales are indeed GREATLY affected by people buying because it's hip, pretty, mainstream?
It's not intelligence that is the factor. It's knowledge.

intuition is defined by past experience, dawg.

I've used Mac and Windows, and I think I was introduced to Mac before Windows, and I thoroughly disagree.

I know how to use a Mac, but what you don't understand is I use Windows as easily and it feels as intuitive as a Mac, but it does more of what I want to do.

Their design philosophies are different, so direct comparisons of the two is fairly pointless.

So then, what motivation would drive you to use a Mac? They are equally easy for you to use, and a PC does more.

Oh wait... I know why one would choose Mac. Maybe because it's hip, pretty, mainstream. Huh, kind of sounds like what I've been saying THIS WHOLE GODDAMN TIME

I'm having trouble guessing how far you misunderstand me now. Do you think I use a Mac? Do you think I have a personal investment in defending Mac users? Are you misquoting me and trying to ask somebody else that?

Three times, and you still don't know what I said.

Stupidity is a measure of intelligence, Fletch.

Stupid: 1 a : slow of mind : obtuse
b : given to unintelligent decisions or acts : acting in an unintelligent or careless manner
c : lacking intelligence or reason : brutish

I was giving you too much credit; you misunderstood the conversation at a deeper level than I thought. Learn the language before you argue with me.

Dumbed Down For The Masses

Apple products are great if you're a casual technology user who accepts standard application configurations.

Windows users are more comfortable tweaking their applications.

Haha. Ok. I'll use "unknowledgeable" next time. Pick apart more of my grammar. I'm sure you can find some more mistakes that surely completely invalidate what I've been saying throughout this thread.
