they called it a camel spider over there. eats rodents and small birds. fast as hell. It was 3-4" long (7-10cm) and ran across the floor in a maintenance hut. Chased it for this photo. Small one they say. Sorry no hand - was waiting for it to jump on me!

Some people keep them as pets and get em REAL big. Keeps the rodents down and all...gulp...

ya know, come to think of it - these things look like the beasties that attacked on Stormship Troopers. zoom in. scary.
