Where have all the good threads gone? Why don't people like Highmike, strafer praha, Duece, and Spooky post anymore?

Most posters seem to only know how to post "I don't give a fuck" two-line soliloquies and every fucking other thread is a link to someone else's content rather than an original post. It's a collective of "Oh! Look what I found on the internet!" posts.

Any suggestions on how to un-gayify the forums? Is stating that you think the forums are gay going to inspire people to write threads and posts that are better crafted to suit what you expect from this forum. So there are threads about what people are wearing; if you don't like it, don't click on it. It's your choice whether you let a thread called <insert blank>'s New Avatar ruin your day but it won't ruin mine. Now that these forums are a few years old there's obviously going to be a lot more posts to rifle through but if someone isn't contributing to your standard just keep holding that mouse button down and scroll a little further and read the next post. Build a bridge and get over it - they're just words.

This is like another thread someone started a few months ago complaining that things aren't the way they used to be. What do you want? Should we cull the forum members down to just the "key players" who give you a brain boner? Things can never go back to the way they were because that forums have nearly 14,000 members now compared to the couple thousand a few years ago. If there aren't any threads you want to comment on, think of a new one and maybe people with similar interests will engage in some insightful discussion. Or PM Strafa, Deuce, Spooky or Nick Postagulahippopotomus (wherever that champ went) and think of some good ideas on how to change what you don't like.
