Two Weeks Notice

I'm giving my two weeks notice at work soon... what should I do to fuck with my soon-to-be former employer before I leave?

I seriously hate to be the buzzkill here, but I wouldn't do anything if you can salvage a good reference from him/her. Jobs are tight and somewhere further down the line you might need him/her to say how upstanding you are. Fuck bosses and fuck jobs.

Yes to above ^…

Don’t be a douche; any shit you pull is going to have to be fixed/cleaned up by a hapless employee not your boss.

And let’s be honest if you really hated your job/boss you would already have a dozen revenge scenarios pre-planned in your head in anticipation of today.

Do you mean stuff that wouldn't be traced back to you? I think we need more info about your job for anything appropriate to be suggested.

I've never quit a job under bad terms, but I do want to pick up a part-time waiter job just for the purpose of getting to flip out on a table like I always wanted.

Your right... let me give more details.

I'm looking to do stuff that wouldn't be traced back to me so that I can still get the recommendations if needed, but I'd like to add a little misery to my boss's life for a few weeks after leaving. I want him to realize what an asset I was to his company and as a result regret his lack of appreciation for my hard work.

I'm the Executive Assistant to the President of the company, so anything I do would directly effect him; not other innocent employees. Unfortunately, I can't afford to stop showing up and miss a week of work. I do have some revenge scenarios in mind, but I thought I would open it up to the creative minds of the forum.

Print out some of his emails that he wouldn't want certain employees to see and then have those emails wind up in the hands of those that they are about.

I think it's a shitty thing to do.

Do you really want to be the kind of person that does THAT? Does something super shitty to intentionally fuck with someone else's life? It might make you feel better in the short term, but if it back fires and it is traced to you or does something to potentially destroy this person's career/marriage/business/life whatever... is that really fair because you "didn't feel appreciated?"

Let me break it to ya gently with a hug... NO ONE ever feels like they are appreciated by their boss... EVERYONE thinks they are underpaid and under appreciated... Whhhhaaaa.... Being an adult sucks and having a shitty job is part of what most usually comes with life.

You've already taken YOUR LIFE INTO YOUR OWN HANDS by finding a new job and being the BIGGER person by actually giving notice and working it out. Make your own destiny, but don't fuck with someone else's life out of spite. Karma is a bitch and down the line you may run into this person again, or WORSE... own you own business and have someone do this to you.

If your current working environment is that bad... file a complaint with the labor board.

This happened to me, the girl who's duties I took over awhile back deleted a lot of files that we needed. Guess who has to go back and piece all this missing data together? Me, not my boss who she hated, and who eventually fired her.

I used to like her, I thought we were friends. And while it sucks that she lost her job, I didn't deserve to have my job made crazy hard because she had to be a child and lash out.

Whoever replaces you is going to have to deal with the shit you do. Your boss will never feel the pain. Don't be a shithead.
