Virginia Tech Shooting

this is just crazy...how does someone get to a breaking point where they feel the need to go on a rampage?

also notice that these kind of things (school shootings) only occur in the US...time to ban guns..

RIP

Guns don't kill people, bullets do.

I actually wanted to post a poll whether people think this is a terrorist attack. fishy that when the story first broke they were like we have it under control then a couple hours later more gunfire.

i am thinking terror attack.

But whatever it is, it is just horrible....RIP

People are fascinated with death in general. That's why it is common for traffic passing an accident to suffer from a 'gapers delay' right?

First off let me just give you this little link. http://www.mibazaar.com/schoolshootings/

It's a map showing that although there are more school shootings in the US it does happen in other countries as well. It's a sad and sick fact.

And now to your other dumb ass comment "Time to ban guns". That's exactly how politicians will use this situation to push their own agenda. Some people have been trying to ban guns for years. And when a tragedy like this happens they cite it as an example of why. Is this a sad day? The answer is yes. Should you feel sorry for the families of the victims and the victims themselves? The answer once again is yes. Should you and people that think like you use this day as an excuse to take away the rights that the founders of this country guaranteed me? The answer is no. When you see a news report talking about a fatality on the highways that is alcohol related is your first response "Time to ban cars"? of course it isn't. That would just be stupid. And you know that would be stupid. Even though there are around 16,000 deaths a year due to alcohol.

When a tragedy happens politicians try to make themselves look good to their constituents and they quickly create laws. Unfortunately often times when they do this they do it with out researching the problem. they make their laws to vague or too strict. In essence what they end up doing is creating bad laws that are put into effect and end up ruining the lives of many people before the courts can reverse it.

My point is I have a constitutional right to keep and bear arms.

My request is for you not to be like the politicians, not to overreact. Good laws take a long time for great people to enact. Don't be so quick with your knee-jerk reactions and in the process take away the rights that I have and was meant to by the people that founded this country.

You shouldn't really be attempting humour (and a pretty poor attempt it was) at this stage.

It's not really a funny story.

for shame, Kamikaze Kutter
