Do I regret it? No. Was I ever under the impression I'd wait until marriage? No.

The first time I had sex it was really uncomfortable and sweaty and boring, but we fucked at least three more times over that weekend and it got a lot better.

I was 19 and it happened at college, in my boyfriend's dorm room. Every time I've done anything sexual with a guy, especially if it was any kind of first I would check with myself whether or not I was doing something I wanted to do, and whether or not I'd be alright with what I'd done even if it didn't work out. I think doing that has really helped me enter into sexual situations with as clear a head as can be expected under the circumstances.

4 years later, I'm still with the same guy and I absolutely don't regret it. I didn't expect us to be together for this long, just according to the law of averages I thought that it would be a college thing at the longest, but we really get along. Despite the fact that I've only ever fucked one guy, I've always been staunchly against waiting until marriage. That's like saying "I'm not going to eat dairy until I'm married." You could do it, but it's silly and unreasonable. Why wouldn't you want to experience every part of life, whether single or married. If you end up marrying the first person you fuck, good, if you don't good. It doesn't matter in the end unless you focus on it.

I think virginity is only a big deal because our culture makes it into a big deal. After awhile, I came to the conclusion that if I'd fucked the first guy that had any serious shot when I was 14, my life wouldn't have been that different. Maybe there would have been more distractions, but that's about it.

If no one told me that it gets better the older you are and the more you do it, then I would have thought 'what's the big deal'... Because for a girl, it is kinda painful and totally uncomfortable.

Married her. Only one I've fucked. Pretty damn happy about being with her for life so unless somehow this becomes an open marriage, I'm pretty sure I'll die that way and I'm cool with either scenario.

If I had any advice to give it's just go with your gut and trust yourself. Know what you're getting into, what the risks are: not just STD and pregnancy but also possible heartbreak, maybe this guy turns out to be a dick, etc. If you can deal with all that and still wanna go for it, then have fun and be safe.
