Vote in November, 2010

Communism: a form of socialism that abolishes private ownership.

Socialism: a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole.

Shares of stock: represent a fraction of ownership in a business.

US treasury owns 61% of GM ($13.1 billion in preferred stock), 10% of Chrysler, and 34% of Citigroup among other financial institutions. We have reached the point where government officials will want to protect businesses that public money owns, and not just because they're taking bribes. The US Government actually owns part of these businesses.

It doesn't even matter which party is in charge. Both sides are converting the country to communism. In 1999, Clinton wanted to invest the Social Security cash reserves in the stock market. In 2003, Bush pushed for the same thing. Now this congress, with both Bush and Obama, managed to start buying ownership of companies with TARP (Troubled Asset Relief Program).

How to fight back:

The entire House of Representatives (435 of them) is up for re-election this year in November, along with 36 seats in the Senate. If people would get out and vote against the incumbents of both parties, it could actually change some things. (Now I want a bumper sticker, "Don't vote for a party, vote for change!")

Go to the US Post Office to get your Zip+4 if you don't know it: USPS - ZIP Code Lookup - Search By Address

Go to The U.S. House of Representatives - Determinig Your Representative (that's right, they don't use spell check: Determining) to look up who your Representatives are. Get everyone you know to go vote for the other person on the ballot. Don't vote based on political party. Don't vote based on their lying ads, or who slipped up. Just vote AGAINST whoever is there now.

Can you imagine the news the next day if the majority of Congress was fired by us? Or the reaction of politicians when they realized we wouldn't just eat the crap they fed us in their campaigns? Or the perspective of the new Representatives when they see that corporations giving money didn't help the person they just replaced?

What if our elected officials suddenly realized they needed to please us to stay in power instead of global corporations?

Im with you brother. Its going to be a greuling process but someday the Democratic/Republican establishment is going to either change dramatically or wake up on the curb. Im voting for the latter.
