I was the beta tester who helped the developer fix the java he was using when this first launched so that it could launch in os x. Got it working, used it for a week and then forgot it existed.

There's been many a clone of the expose function but this one adds features like interactive previews, hot corners, multi-monitor support, and more.

There's a terrible quality video here of it in action on an EEE (mute the music):

If I ever get a widescreen and some more ram, I want this.

Sometimes I have so long left on a download or I'm recording something and want the PC to shut off at a certain time.
This program is great.
Switch Off

It's working on a netbook in the video so it may be worth a try.

A week or two ago I downloaded Stanza for my iPhone. It's a free ebook reader and I'm in love. I just finished my first ebook- a Robert Silverberg novel.

I will admit that at first I was skeptical, but it's surprisingly easy to read, and you can customize colors and fonts to your preference.

Also, there are a shit ton of free ebooks at websites like feeddbooks.com and Project Gutenberg (gutenberg.org).

Paid sites- This is what their FAQ says:

Stanza Desktop contains built-in reading support for DRM-free Amazon Kindle, Mobipocket, Microsoft LIT, and PalmDoc, as well as Microsoft Word, Rich Text Format, HTML, and PDF. Stanza iPhone / iPod Touch supports eReader with or without DRM and ePub without DRM. More details can be found on Stanza's Supported Formats page.

And the Desktop app has an "Export to ePub" tool.

And yes to iPod Touch.
