Knights in the Nightmare for DS.
It is so fucking good I just want to talk about it. I tilt my head down to play it and when I look back up two hours have passed. It's one of the most original games I've ever played, right up there with Katamari Damacy, Portal and Guitar Hero in terms of creativity. I haven't had this much fun with an RPG since WoW and Final Fantasy Tactics. It's one of those games that you can spend 99+ hours just grinding for no reason other than the gameplay is just so fucking fun. Who else is playing it? If not, why aren't you? Sleeper hit of the year. |

I dug out my old copy of LOTR: BFME II for 360 and am hooked on it all over again. What an excellent RTS. I wish I could play the PC version, though. Either way, I'm disappointed it'll never get a sequel.

Getting back into Halo 3 now, testing out the new maps.
Left 4 Dead is slow as balls (and my teammates are horrible), Red Faction: Guerrilla lost its allure, and COD4 is downright dull now. Desperately need that new wave of games to come in. |

This weekend Fallout 3 and Oblivion are both half price, on Steam and Direct2Drive respectively. Bethesda weekend!
This also means I have finally picked up Fallout 3, despite not getting through the previous two (or indeed the first one) yet. IMPORTANT FALLOUT QUESTION is it best to buy the DLC before playing or finish the main game and then play them like expansion packs? Quote:
I like how all the Street Fighter sub-franchises feel different, I have to alter my play style for each game, even when using the same character. Did any one pick up the Street Fight Anniversary Collection on the original X-box? Superb boxset.

You could download and add them but you can always resist playing them. Anchorage is activated through responding through a radio call, The Pitt is just added on to the very edge of the game map and still needs to be activated through a stranger waiting at the train entrance, Broken Steel is activated through a radio call, and so forth. So you could ignore these entirely and play the game through.

If you're wanting to get trophies/achievements, don't do the stupid thing I did and wait to get the bobblehead at Rockopolis, otherwise later it will be blocked by an impasse. That was the only one I needed to get the achievement and I'll be damned if I am going to go through the entire game again to get it. |
