I'm currently playing through Demon's Souls. It is such a brutal and unforgiving game. Not sure if this has been posted before, but Best Buy is having a buy 2 games get one free sale. It runs from Oct 25-31 there are a lot of good games that you could buy with this deal.

edit:i should actually read the thread first, but you know what, play them twice and then try God mode. completing that made me a better, more aware gamer.

God of War 1 & 2 are two of the greatest games ever made. That series is the only reason i regret buying a 360... no more Kratos for me.

even the PSP one was great. super great actually. never finished god mode on that one though. the PSP is not comfortable to hold, let alone strain my thumbs on.

I never got to play that one, i sold my PSP just before it came out... basically for the reasons you mentioned.

GoW 3 looks extremely impressive, i'm considering buying a cheap PS3 just for it.

I'm buying a PS3 specifically for GoW 3. In fact, I even got suckered into the idea of buying the new GoW 1 & 2 bundle for the "better graphics." Even my non-gaming girlfriend has played the current GoW games from start to finish. Other than RE4, they are the only games she's ever beaten.

I don't know if you can still rent gaming systems from Blockbuster or some shit, but you should really play CoO. It provides an epic backstory to the entire series. Maybe you could find the cutscenes on Youtube instead of playing it. Either way, you should experience the story.

Oh, as for 360 Games, I'm playing: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Devil May Cry 4, Ninja Gaiden II, Army of Two (Co-Op for when the girlfriend's over,) Stranglehold, and Halo: CE.

All this God Of War talk forced me to download Hero Of Sparta for iPhone. I can see it taking up a fair bit of my time.
