It's beautiful and awful at the same time how the gaming industry can create products that hold people hearts in their hands and yet is so precarious. In movies, even the shittiest series has good chances to be completed. With games, it's like hopping on a minefield. I still got lumps in my throat. |

I have to give it to them. It was awful and a mean cliffhanger but so very effective and used everything they've been building on since 2004.
The difference between him and Valve is that Valve aren't just developers of one largely overlooked series or even just developers - they make some of the best selling games on PC AND own the biggest digital distribution platform of the format. It's like they have the infinite money cheat on. Which means it's coming but also that they can (will) take their damn time to perfect it. Hey, they're quicker than Blizzard.

i actually just downloaded both final fantasy 1 & 2 for my iphone, the control scheme is a little strange considering the placement of the headphone jack but besides that I'm def digging it. i really hope developers start porting more of their older titles to the iphone

Valve are up to something.
They patched Portal today and the patch notes read: Quote:
Turns out the code comes from moving in game radios to certain points (that achievement comes from putting the radio on to the big red button on the first stage, which then spits out morse code) and the loud thing from above is when you throw a radio into a forcefield. IT'S A MYSTERY! |
