Interesting deal indeed. A genius and maddeningly frustrating game (Mirror's edge), a very cool game (Dead Space), and an overrated bore (Spore).
Dont look at me, that way. Spore is the sims for mentally challenged people. C'mon. |

Spore had brilliant creator bits and the way they were shared across the internet was fantastic but the game let it down. I had more fun listening to Will Wright talk about Spore than I did playing it. |

Lappy
Hey Gamers, I've been looking for games to play on my laptop. It's got pretty good specs but as I only use it for gaming when I'm on the train to and from work, I can't play any games that are mouse-heavy, (or are turn based).
I've been playing Burnout Paradise (no mouse needed) and Civilization IV (needs a lot of mouse but totally turn-based). Any suggestions? Frustratingly, I've been trying to play Blood Bowl on it but the buggy piece of shit only uses mouse scroll-wheel for zooming and isn't customizable. I love the game, but can't play it on lappy. : P |

Doom 2 on nightmare. Holy balls.
I remember playing this as a kid with all the cheats on. Thought it was easy... Oh, and there is a brand-spanking new speedrun on Speedrun Demo Archives of Batman: Arkham Asylum. Just over 2 hours. It's a decent run and pretty good to watch. |

If anyone likes kinda freeform non-structured RPGs I can't recommend 'Mount & Blade' enough. There is no real story, you just kind of do whatever (you can find quests and stuff but there is no main storyline and you will never "win") and the combat is really, really well done. Speaking of combat, if you haven't checked out Toribash, you should. It's a free turn-based martial arts simulation...that sounds kind of dumb but it is worth downloading to see for yourself.
