I got the new Laura Croft game on XBLA yesterday. Never cared for the Tomb Raider games, but this one is a must buy! They should just make all future installations of the series like this one.

Hadn't heard of Torchlight before I started reading this thread. I think I might just have to go pick it up over the weekend. Any advice on which character or pet I should try first?

Personal taste, really. I can tell you that the pets behave identically, though. Until the sequel, at least. It's a great game.

I went ahead and bought Arkham Asylum earlier today (technically yesterday). Such a cool game, kicking the shit out of people is so fun as Batman.

After finishing the single player completely, I put that game away for five or six months without ever playing the challenges. Then one day I randomly popped it in and got addicted to the challenge mode. The combat in that game is so much more fun than I gave it credit for at first.

Arkham Asylum has made me unable to play other third-person action games. ALL fighting in single-player games should be about rhythm, reactions and throwing the occasional batarang.
