it's about 3.45 in the seattle area. Of course, as I type this, it probably just went up again.

I hate to say it, but I'm rather anxious for gasoline to get up to $10-15 a gallon. Then retards will quit driving the 4 blocks to the store, and start walking. Or they'll quit driving the 8 miles to work and start riding a bike.
Of course that's never going to happen, because as soon as the price gets high enough that people quit driving everywhere, demand will drop and prices will stabilize. We just haven't (yet) gotten to the point where people reduce their driving habits. http://whokilledtheelectriccar.com/ |

I definitely think that people should walk or bike more if what they need is within a reasonable distance to do so. I also think public transportation should be utilized as much as possible and the public transportation vehicles should be as clean and "footprint free" as possible for the environment. Then again...food prices are going up (mostly due to a rise in crude oil, labor and other resources) and mortgage rates are rising meaning the foreclosure rate is going through the roof. So, people are losing their homes, can't afford food and even if they could, it's too expensive to get there. |

Yeah I'm paying upwards of $300 a month on gas. I have to drive 85 miles each day to drop the wife off (she doesn't drive and their parking passes are $80 a month anyways) and get to my work. Then back in the evening. That's just work. I haven't gotten into visiting family, getting groceries, going out, etc.
