I can't speak for everyone, but I don't think its OK when Obama copies Bush's policies. I am mad at any politician that doesn't end any and all warrent-less wiretapping programs, doesn't immediately pull back all of our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, and doesn't release any prisoners in Guantanamo that we don't have enough evidence to actually prosecute.

It is hypocritical for Republicans to criticize Obama for doing the same things Bush did though. These people weren't criticizing these policies in Bush's 6th or 7th year, when everyone else knew they were terrible. They only started to dislike those policies once the president's party changed. That is the definition of hypocritical. You don't get to complain about a war you started.

If you want to talk financial stuff, I wasn't mad at Bush for the first few rounds of bailouts, and I'm not mad at Obama for continuing them. If the government had just let all of those banks go bankrupt it would have cratered our economy far worse than it did. If anything they made a mistake by letting Lehman Bros. bankrupt, rather than bailing them out too. What I am mad about is that we haven't started comprehensive reform to make sure that this will never happen again. Such reform would have certainly never happened under a Republican administration. I have hopes still that some weak ass reform might sneak through if the Dem's stay in power after the midterms.

What I really want to see if 'Too Big to Fail means Too Big to Exist' passed. Which means any company that is so big the Feds would feel obligated to bail out exists, that company gets split up into smaller companies. No single company should be allowed to grow so big that its collapse would harm us all.

Nope he was never my asshole - I have plenty of friends who hated then loved him, but I did have a picture of him with blood dripping down his face after an altercation with Darren McCarty as my screensaver for a while. The only hockey player I ever succeeded in loving after loathing was Chris Chelios.

Does that about sum up your "point" there?
