I don't object to a person holding the door for another person, but I do object to holder having to be a man and the holdee having to be a woman.
Seriously?! This may be a Midwestern thing but all people hold doors 'round these parts for people or all genders. I hold doors for guys, guys hold doors for guys, women hold doors for me, that shit is just good manners.

Seconded

When I said I always hold doors open, I meant for all people

This doesn't apply where I live, everyone holds the door for everyone else...maybe it's a Canadian thing....it gets ridiculous where your 30 feet away and the person will hold the door and wait for you to run up and walk through it.

I get what you're saying though, let's all be nice to one another regardless of gender....ahhhe to live in a perfect world.

I like to pay - I look forward to women being cheap and not bringing money. Then I can easily make sure they know that I'm paying cash, they are paying with services. Its just common sense.

No, it's common here in Texas as well.

I don't think I'd mind being treated like a woman and I don't have any particular attachment to feeling like a man. But maybe that's what a pussy WOULD say.

Didn't mean you specifically. I mean in general, men who are concerned with being manly, are the most insecure about their image.

Depends. I usually hold doors for people, but I'll sort of "hand them off" as I walk in, unless the angle is such that it's just easier to let them in. Everyone else does the same thing (in NJ), regardless of gender.

But for women I'd be more inclined to actually let them through first and then walk in myself (but I'm not going to stand there for over 10 seconds waiting for them to walk up and through, unless I know them).

That's pretty judgmental to imply that it does.
I didn't mean to offend, I was talking about myself. It took me a long time to grow up and now that I have, I like that I'm with someone who appreciates that I can take care of myself. Some men get a bit huffy with women that don't need them to bang in nails etc. That's all I was meaning.

That's not really what I meant at all. Being man, too me, means having a dick, having testostereone, supporting yourself, being emotionally mature etc. So pretty much the same as being a woman, but with a cock.

I didn't mean having sex with women makes him a man.
