I am trying to get into the bantamweight class (<143.5) so I want a lower weigh in.

Got a killer post-gym headache. Same thing happened to me once last week too. I ate some fruit before so I wouldn't be running on an empty stomach, I don't know what it could be, was it the lack of protein in my pre-work-out snack?

Make sure you drink enough fluids during a workout and during the day... Especially water. I don't like the Gatorade and Powerade shit.. they replace salts but are full of sugars... Dehydration often causes huge headaches.

Haven't posted much in this thread... My training schedule is dominated by my basketball season, as i play semi-professionaly.

Virtually all my headaches come from dehydration, so look into that for sure.

The second question I would ask is, how much caffeine do you usually take on a daily basis?

Yeah my first week of bootcamp I was gettig dull throbbing headaches that would last for hours.... I gotta blame it on me cutting out soda, coffee and alcohol entirely from my diet...

You are right... but I can be a tightass as well... I am hoping a good groupon comes my way (which is how I joined this camp in the first place) My wife just smacked the passenger side door of our EOS into a concrete pole as well... soooooo $800 gone poof!

We shall see. Regardless I ma now thinking how I ma going to continue after this month, which is a good step.....

See if you break down the boot camp... It's really just running a mile or 2 a day and doing various forms of exercise between runs (Kinda like Booby's doing w/ his run/push up routine)

The good thing is the instructors push you past your comfort zone... which may end up being priceless.... I don't know...

I was probably dehydration. Sometimes I think I can get away with less water. I know I get sick when I don't drink a shit-ton. Some days I think I've got enough, but in hindsight it may have been a lot, but it wasn't enough. Headache is still here this morning, I'm going to load up on water early.

I usually only drink 1 cup of coffee and 1 cup of black tea a day.

How often do you drink during workout? If I'm running intervals, that's usually 3-minute intervals and I take a gulp or two at each one. If I'm doing weights, usually a small drink after a set and bigger ones every 4 sets or so. Opening and closing the water bottle is basically something to do during downtime, it's a habit now. I think I drink more than most people I see, but hey, it works. Since all the gyms I know have water fountains, why would you want to conserve water?

you should be multiplying your weight by 75% and turning that into ounces.... Thats how much water you should drink daily.... for me thats 180 oz. a day or 23 cups!


I have cut out my caffeine entirely but was told if I do cheat to add 1 cup of water for every coffee/soda I drink....

Supposedly this completeely hydrates yuou to where if you work out for 45-60 mins you don't need to stop for water...

working for me...
