You really need to learn that no one gives a shit about what you drink. No one cares what you look like carrying a particular drink. No one is paying any attention to you. This also goes for girls who think they're fat when they go to the beach. No one is looking at them, so they should just get on with their lives and enjoy themselves the way they want to.

That said, drink across the board to see what you like. Tell a bartender what your experiences are with the drinks you've tried and ask for his recommendations. Stop being so damn uppity. Good bartenders know what drinks suit certain personalities. It happens all the time when someone spots an attractive member of the opposite sex and asks the bartender to send him or her a drink of whatever he thinks he or she may like.

If you like fruity drinks, then drink fruity drinks. If you don't like beer, don't drink beer. Stop caring so damn much about what everyone else thinks. I have seen many men drinking margaritas and mai tais. I have seen men drinking mud slides. I have seen women throwing back shots of Jaeger. Everyone drinks what they want to drink. All you have to remember is the more shit that gets mixed into a drink, the more calories you get. If you're trying to lose weight, keep the sugary stuff to a minimum.

Talk to a bartender. Don't be shy. They probably wished they had asked for guidance at one point rather than drinking everything and puking their guts out for years.

I pretty much don't have a sweet tooth anymore so I use these as mixers or as a tasty beverage to have with a meal when water seems too bland, otherwise you cant go wrong with a good ol gin 'n' tonic
