When it's your birthday do you like to celebrate with a big party or a small private affair?

I'm asking this because I was getting a birthday card for my mom and some were quite bawdy while others were more sedate.

I like a small affair party wise but I want lots of cards.

I hate birthdays. I don't even celebrate my own.
I've never been sure if it's some subconscious fear if growing old or that I don't want to let a number dictate my life and actions.
An example being that I can remember being a kid and seeing commercials with "old" people wearing sweater vests eating bran flakes. I don't want to be that guy. I woke up the other day and had cookie dough ice cream for breakfast. I'm not going to change who I am because I achieved some milestone in age. Congrats, I survived this long being who I am and now it's time to change that. Nope. Not gonna happen.

It's just another day in my book.

I can't tell you what your mom is into.

My only rules are:
I never go to work on my birthday. (never went to school either)
I wanna get laid (nothing "special" like rose petals or hour long eat outs, just a nice fucking)
I want to go out to eat and get drunk.

I prefer a small amount of people around me. It's not really an "it's all about me day" thing, more like an excuse to party.
