Chemda was told Hennessy could be arrested simply for not having ID. Has anyone (especially New Yorkers) confirmed this?

Remember, there were 4 cops in the car when she was taken away and being told she STILL wasn't under arrest.

And as for the license thing, Pintman would like to know What's the difference?!

You don't have to carry it with you and produce it while out and about but if they really want it and you don't produce and they are a power hungry asshole I'm sure its not hard to pull some shit of their ass to arrest you for. An open container they saw you throw away, the blunt you totally had that they saw you smoking, assaulting them. Then, as 3 says, if you can't produce it whilst under arrest there's more problems.

The question is are you gonna get harassed by the asshole whose willing to abuse hos authority or not

I wasn't mentioning the ID to say "Chemda should've/shouldn't have done [whatever]" but just to point out that it was another outright lie by the officers, hoping their authority makes people not question it.

If anybody can be arrested just for not carrying ID (as the officer definitely said about Hennessy), then the voter ID debate wouldn't even be a thing.
