Sad girl is an aesthetic and nothing is real on the internet. Super.

Great, now you’re telling me these women I was saving with penis pictures weren’t really caught in selfie form somehow candidly? So, Sad Girl isn’t a legitimate thing? Mother fucker... Don’t you dare tell me superficial women aren’t really 1/2 duck. What IS real...?

I was genuinely concerned for her. She posted a picture of herself crying during the holiday season. I thought maybe it was a literal cry for help. It affected me since I’ve been severely depressed myself not having any family but my wife and kids. I thought about dm’ing her to say that I struggle with depression too and here are some things that have helped me. I ended just saying “ hugs miss”. It just seems like there’s contempt for liking a picture.

Fuck me for even contemplating reaching out. It’s all a joke.

I don’t understand social media either. I hear ya. But “hugs miss” does seem like a funny way to help depression. Ever send a “hugs mister” to anyone?

It’s not fake. It’s still a statement. If you want to connect to that statement then respond. If your response has been responded to coldly then think about responding differently or not at all next time. And that’s how we connect or don’t. It’s all a risk and it’s all us trying to connect.

Change of tempo
 

I forgot I had a tampon in and it fell out about ten hours later.......went on the internet to see if I was going to die, turns out it’s quite common.

My teenage daughter portrays the sad aesthetic, no reason to be sad whatsoever. Chill parents, nice house, plenty of food, lots of loving friends and family still she takes sad photos. 😏

Tampons are the best but also the worst. Back when I had periods I never lost a tampon but I know a handful of people who did and it was upsetting for them in those moments where all the toxic shock syndrome warnings flash through their mind :( scary shit.
