AOL cancelation caller on Today Show
 

The guy who recorded his attempt to cancel an AOL acct (see Episode #287) will be on the Today show later on this morning.

I sure AOL will not have an on-air representative for comments.

I shall wait for the audio and see what AOL have to say about their fantastic service ;])

Good old AOL. I love the small print on their three month trial connection offer:

3 MONTH FREE TRIAL MUST BE USED WITHIN FIRST 3 MONTHS OF INITIAL SIGN-UP. TO AVOID BEING CHARGED A MONTHLY FEE, SIMPLY CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP BEFORE TRIAL PERIOD ENDS.

I imagine that AOL and Websters have slightly different interpretations of the word "simply".

Fuckin AOL fired the call service rep; IMHO this sucks as they probably directly coached him to be a dick or used negative motivation tactics against cancelations that their call center people become dick's out of fear of loosing a job.
