Prefuse 73 is so experimental with his beats that you have to be a hardcore fan of electronic, but also just really into literally hearing a sound, as opposed to actual music - to enjoy it.
However. When he gets a lyricist/ singer he seems to produce more mainstream songs. Like this one. |
Not unlike the great writer/ awful singer Bob Dylan; you will either find this horrid or clever.

When the fuck did conspiracy theory get embraced by hip hop culture? It's weird. Like, hip hop was always obsessed with gangster flics, (Scarface, The Godfather etc) but it seems now they're watching Alex Jones' youtube clips.

A Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth) solo album song. Produced by Beck. Very commercial, yet very cool. There's a lot going on in the background and it makes me wish Beck and Thurston collaborated more.

...then I began to question my sexuality and quickly started to listen to good ol' Diamond Darrol. RIP
