The same thing happened about ten times. Do you know what this is?
Well, it sounds like a scam to me, but it's not one I've heard of before. KL isn't really the sort of place where people try to scam you often, and to be honest I haven't ever been approached or heard of someone being approached for random conversation like that, but I don't really look like a tourist myself. The closest thing to a scam was a guy in Chinatown who tried to sell my dad a fake watch, and repeatedly called him John (I guess all white people are called John).
