I know what you're saying, especially Adam (IIRC) and his "just kill yourself" which may well one day be fatal to someone who is depressed and listening to the show to cheer themselves up. But of course they should talk about the letter, it seemed to me they took it pretty seriously. Chemda was saying -- very good advice too -- that she should try NOT to be a slut when she got out of her family's direct control and into college where she would be in a position to generate some self-esteem from coming across. But everyone had a basically positive response, that over time she will get over it, things will be getting better.
