It isn't healthy meat...it is way processed, loaded with fillers, laden in salts and fats. It will make you sick and eventually fat. Today you can eat that way because you are young and your body is efficient. That grace period ends around 25 and then it all catches up to you. You can't throw away sensible eating because you digest fats quickly. Add healthy fats to your meals, not this processed crap filled with saturated fats. When my son was little and we felt he wasn't plumping up enough we'd add all sorts of healthy fats to his food, flax seed and olive oils, high fat organic yogurts, avocados, you know...good stuff.

One day eating 6 McDonald's burgers will catch up to you in the form of clogged arteries, high blood pressure from all the sodium in your diet, irritable bowel, all sorts of stuff.

Ok, lecture over...just one more thing...

A CHEAP recipe for you who love the proteins and red meat
Buy a cut called a blade roast, In Montreal they are about 6$ CND per cut but our beef industry is run by the mafia and meat prices are nuts here. Blade roast is one of the cheaper cuts. You can either sear it whole in a pan or chop it into chunks and sear. Remove some of the fat but not all. Put the seared meat in your slow cooker with low sodium beef stock, 1 cup of red wine, 3 bay leaves, some tomato paste (tablespoon), garlic, oregano, chopped celery and half a packet of onion soup mix. Make sure there is enough liquid to cover the meat an NO MORE. then leave it for 6 hours. I thicken with bisto at the very end and add root veg an hour before it's finished but if you are watching your carbs just steam off you veggies like broccoli or cauliflower ...delicious dinner for 3-4 night for about 3 bucks a serving.
