i’ve never changed my own oil, but i think i could in an emergency. let’s see:

1) jack up the car or drive it up the little elevated triangle things
2) scuttle underneath the car on your back
3) position your drain pan
4) unscrew the drain plug
5) allow the old oil to drain into the pan
6) replace drain plug
7) unscrew old oil filter
8) screw in new oil filter
9) fill car with requisite type and quarts of oil
10) grab a snack for a job well done
