Yes I think "less crazy" describes our conservatives very well and I think a lot of that has to do with less focus on religion generally in Europe.
Even though I didn't vote for him and didn't agree with his positions I was very proud that we had an openly gay vice-chancellor/foreign minister for a few years.

These are the stats I found for Germany (the big bump in 1990 is from the reunification as East Germany was less religious):
blue - protestant
purple - catholic
yellow - no religion
red - muslim
green - other

Speaking of crazy American conservative. You guys hear this Ted Cruz? Wants to abolish abortion. You know. Because religion. America is an ironic place where "church and state " are hailed as being separate in government but rarely are.

Hillary seriously fucked up with those emails but Republicans are so scary I bet she still gets liberal votes. Mostly out of fear. A recent katg guest said he didn't like the spouse of an ex prez getting office. Said it was cheating. Agreed
