Chile
Richie has an exciting story. I will follow his adventures https://unguidednations.com/
. Ari Shaffir, a former guest on KATG, took off last year with no contact for +months traveling Asia. A must visit place in Chile. Safe, modern and relatively inexpensive with access to virtually any climate. Its coastline is 12,606km or 7,833mi. So, you can experience skiing, dessert, rainforest, Mediterranean wine-growing climate or the tundra of Magallanes in the extreme south. Or take a luxury multi-day train ride from the North Arica at the Peruvian border to the south Puerto Montt. One of my favorite spots in Chile is in the South, Puerto Montt. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9pSF0ufOVdI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FKKLau712w https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwvYoyIrjE8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNNg-JKv-GI Old Music/Video on Puerto Montt. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TePzHvg_3g or stay in mid-region near the capital Santiago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKvq-fP9DY8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymK9gdqG1e4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZKCaTkUSSk South https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZL8FiiiNof8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nI808Wmgw18 BTW, <<Germans have featured in the history of Chile since the 16th century. The city of Hamburg had vital trading links with the port city of Valparaíso, and many Germans who fled from the 1848 Revolution set up homes in southern Chile. The majority of emigrating Germans settled in regions such as the Chilean Lakes district and Araucanía. Today, Chile’s most important cultural cities in the south, including Puerto Montt and Valdivia, owe much of their cultural heritage to German settlers, the vestiges of which can be clearly seen in the food, drink architecture and languages of these southern towns and cities:>> https://www.cascada.travel/en/News/W...-Germans-Chile Strong German influence with statues in the town center celebrating the German settlers in the 1800’s. https://binged.it/2KFTjyy https://bit.ly/2AXy4bN https://binged.it/2AYhQPJ https://binged.it/2Mw1uit The locals' are appreciative of the quality of German schools and their influence. I was told the area was desolate over hundred years ago. So the Chilean govt asked Germans to settle on the barren land. The Germans enjoyed the climate as it reminded them of Germany. The indigenous Maupche left that area of Chile because they thought it was cursed. BTW that area in Chile still holds the record for the most powerful earthquake. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTUG73Hw1is |
