So...as soon as I heard this, I thought about promoting KATG (of course). The best promo would be for Chemda to get Keith on A&E's Intervention. Great promo for KATG and TOTALLY what Keith needs. Serously though, as a former addict and eternally an alcoholic, that is the only thing that will ever help Keith. (But would he still be funny?) ABSOLUTELY!

This show would have been much more fun if Chemda didn't sound so soul-weary and bummed out by seeing Keith slide again and lose control ("I get caught up in the fun") of his drinking.

I am stoked about this new Drink-Talk Monday development, especially to have Keith keep a log and analyze his mood vs his level of sobriety or intoxication, but without some kind of solid goal in mind it'll go kind of rudderless and probably splutter out. The easiest way to set a goal is to make it competitive; Keith controls his drinking according to some allowed quantity per week vs Chemda controls her something else (I'd say working out because they talked about it on the show but there might be something better, like controlling her tendency to choke a bitch).

Chemda seems to have a misunderstanding of alcoholism. Keith cut way back on the drinking awhile back, part of a challenge I think. Did he have detox tremors? Did he start drinking on the sly and hiding it? No?

From what I've heard he's a drinker, he's not an alcoholic. Maybe he drinks too much. Been there, done that. But if you start throwing out the term alcoholic you miss the point from the beginning.

Do not get offended, but i seems that you have a misunderstanding of alcoholism. The symptoms you're describing are the ones of a very advanced state of it. But having a drinking problem, being a hard drinker, drinking constantly, is alcoholism. You dont have to be nearly dead to have a problem to deal with. And, as i said, i was an alcoholic, so i'm not just talking nonsense.
