Fuck yes. Ensiferum never fail to please, especially live. I was fucking pissed listening to all the meathead fucktards saying they sucked when they opened for GWAR around Halloween last year... I'm sure their brains couldn't even comprehend what they were hearing.

Right, because fans deprive their idols of money for their work simply because the amount is marginal. Right, because fans would rather pay for a pack of smokes than a CD. You're such a fan. |

And if you hate me that much just stop reading my posts, I really don't want to get into this over and over or listen you your whining or passive aggressive remarks any time I post. Just stay on your moral high ground because I really don't care, I have no problems with what I do and I know that I am a fan, all the complaining in the world on your part will not change that, so just get over it so there isn't a big to do every few pages. |

No. You're a little bitch and I'm going to hound every post you make in this thread.
You can dress it up as "moral high ground", but the fact is you're flipping off the people you claim you are a fan of, and that proves you aren't right there. Also, I like how giving people money for their art is distorted as a self-righteous, phony idea now. |

Well anyway...
What do people think of the new devin townsend album? a friend was nice enough to send me a "promotional copy", I have to say I wasn't too impressed. The whole albums seems too "flat" it lacks the depth and richness that his other albums held, I also don't like what he did with the solos, there all really slow and bluesy and often take you out of the song, like in train fire for example. The heavier parts also lacked balls I felt on a positive note the female vocals were a nice addition. I know he said it was going to be mellow but I was hoping for the likes of terria. That being said I liked coast alot terminal, winter, trainfire and Ki were also ok, also I am growing to like lady helen. I am looking forward to the next 3 albums and seeing what the line up is and the direction he goes. Last edited by greggcarson; 04-22-2009 at 05:38 PM. |

Also, I fail to see how what I said was a straw man setup.
You have recognized that money is made from CD sales for the artist. And you recognize that artists are asking you to pay for it, because they are selling it. So what am I misrepresenting here? |

So I am not allowed an opnion on an album am I? I never said he owed me anything, I just said the album was a bit disapointing, had I paid for it I would have been saying the same thing.

By the way, I'm going to rein in the spreading of the argument from Ask Marina back to here: City, Strapping Young Lad's most lauded album, has sold 55,000 copies, and Devin Townsend is pretty fucking big in metal. 55,000 copies for an album over 10 years old counts as popular? You are fucking retarded. |
