I've been playing guitar for about 15 years but never taken as serious as I've always wanted to. My Dad has supported my family of 6 by playing music for the last 30 years; just him, an acoustic guitar and some folky tunes. He's always encouraging me to get out there and start playing on my own like him but I'm into different music than classic rock and Irish folk numbers so I've always said I couldn't do what he does as successfully with the type of music I like.

I have had a surge of... inspiration or maybe just NEED to play my guitar more now since I've only picked it up once a week for the last few months. If I come up with anything I'll post it up here (I did write a few chord changes the other night on my acoustic, will try to record it this weekend).

Anyhoo - here's a heavy idea I posted a while ago;

Yeah, I actually wasn't playing it in the car, and just thought up lyrics/chords with it, but that's not to say I haven't played a song or two at a red light, that's actually how I started with uke, my shitty beat up one was always in the car, and I would play along to Beirut songs on my ipod, and figured out their whole album at red lights
