On this day in history ...
On this day in 1908, Lord Ernest Rutherford was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his work in spliting the atom. This event ushered in the atomic age.
Rutherford was born in Nelson, New Zealand and went to Canterbury University ... same as me :) Hurrah for us, we gave you nuclear power! |
The end-game of Civilization IV probably wouldn't be as exciting without this. Therefore, I approve.
