If there's a right time to wrongly use the word "faggot," I'd say it'd be to describe that guy in the video.
I thought the trailer was pretty awesome, why can't sad things be awesome? I'm sure mothers saw the trailer for Titanic knew it'd be "sad" and then went to see it BECAUSE they wanted to be sad. Why can't a trailer for a video game make me kinda sad and then I want to play it? That somebody even said it should be banned for that trailer is ridiculous. Psh. The game won't probably be half as cool as its trailer, but I'd try it out.

I still hope th guy in that video is pushing it to create discussion (if he gets so shocked about a cgi girl falling out of a window, that he needs to go into whiny rant mode, he has issues) but i saw this happen a lot, even more with younger parents.
Semms that having a kid unleashes the angry censor in everyone. note that the ban/censor/morality movements have gotten stronger in the late years. there isnt a day without some article where some movement is trying to take stuff out of tv, theatres or stores. Usually, kids of said parents also turn out to be the douchiest and most useless punks ever. irony. |

It's something I didn't fully understand/appreciate until 3 years ago. There are two things people with kids tell you before you have any that you just slag off as them being "not you" 1. How much you can really and truly love another person and that you would do anything for them - I would give my life and/or take one for her (unless she grows up to be an asshole) 2. How fucking expensive daycare is. |

dont take what i am going to say next as snarky, its not meant to be, i swear. Just saying something i wanted to say for a while, and this is a place as any other.
see i dont get that aspect of the process of having kids. i'm sure having a baby gives you incredible love like anything else yet i CANT STAND when a lot of people i know suddenly act likie they are the only ones to understand life, love or reasl feelings cause they reproduced. I have sensitivity, i can love people, i have struggles, i care for human beings. maybe n0ot as much as a parent. But each time they have to diminish everything a person with no kids says or feels cause they are the enlightened ones. Its such a bias and a backwards one. its like when people say "youre not a real man/woman if you dont have a child", only phrased differently. |

That trailer is amazing - this game has definately earned my attention.
I have two kids plus another on the way and yes the trailer is disturbing but I did not find it offensive in any way. I found that movie The Road much the same and also the game Heavy Rain - you can't help but think of yourself in that same situation with your own kids so it can be hard to deal with but to me that just means the movie/game has done it's job extremely well into immersing you into their world. I agree with Junk I can't stand that bullshit high horse attitude that a lot of parents have. I wonder how some of these asshole parents that claim you can't know love until you have a child would react if they had to put their theory into practice. Next time they say that take a out a gun and point it at their kid and see what happens. Bet you at least some of them would use their kid as a shield as they ran away shitting their pants. |
