Fuck Winter

it's going to be freezing all next week. and it will probably rain and cause all the roads to ice over. no one in texas knows how to drive on icy roads, and there's no such thing as tire chains here. i live at the intersection of 2 major highways. they happen to be the 2 highways in the area that people drive like it's the autobahn. this is going to be fun.

there was salt all over the parking lot at work this morning and they're only forecasting flurries. do you really need enough salt to build castles when it's only supposed to flurry?

Your son is about the same age i was when we got the big blizzards in the 90's. if you have an upstairs window, i highly suggest he plays stuntman off the roof. Super awesome and a vary rare opportunity.

My daughter was born in the middle of that winter (95-96). January was the blizzard. The day she was born it hit 70. The day we went home from the hospital it was snowing again.

You're probably right about this being a rare opportunity for my son, but I doesn't seem like encouraging it would make me a good parent.
