I like McNally's writing style, especially the restraint, the pacing and the economy of it, but the story itself didn't do much for me. First, I don't give a shit about 12 year old girls' feelings. Not enough gunplay, fighter planes, trucks, kung fu or rough sex. I pray to Jesus that now McNally feels like a man he's writing about these things.

And Ayn has a sweet way of talking and all, but have Keith read everything you do in the future McNally. He was born for this stuff.

Good one McNally! This is the kind of story I would have read again and again when I was 13 and as a 27 year old I quite enjoyed it too... Maybe because I still have a 13 year old mind?!

Ps I like the non-drunk Ayn, the story was well read.
