I loved the book. Chuck writes some sweet, over the top stuff.

Yep. I love Sam Rockwell, but the non red band trailer blew. Still, this new one actually looks like a decent interpretation of the book. We'll see.

I wouldn't have expected to be a comedy, but I totally see why they went in that direction. I'm super fucking excited. Any guessed on how many people will be busted busting a nut in the theaters?

Yeah i posted about this in spooky's book thread.

The earlier previews were 5 clips and 4 of them felt like bad 1 hour sitcom dramas.

This one does look ok.

By no means will this have a fight club like response or impact.

I would make a guess that "Invisible Monsters" could be a huge box office hit if they cast it/write it well.

Choke will be a fun movie, but I have a feeling it wont get past that "limited release" stage.

I expect this to have an equal pop impact as Danny Boyle and Alex Garlands follow up after "28 days later" a movie called "Sunshine"

It will be a good movie, But count the days it stays in theaters and cross your fingers that it even plays in a theater near you.

I'm in Chicago so no worries i will be seeing this ASAP! and will review it right away.

The original casting would have made a huge difference, with Susan Surandon as Ida Mancini. Not that im a fan, just gonna hurt the movie to not have a big name (sorry sam). Big name actors are in no way afraid of indie titles anymore. Look at juno, little miss sunshine. Its a shame they didn't pitch this harder to some big names who weren't in fight club.

It will also hurt that they are going to market this movie with the "Creator of Fight Club" tag. A slight reference within the AA/suport group scenarios but beyond that many people may not receive this movie well just on a fight club bias.

Either way, Im a huge fan and cant wait to see my favorite Chuck book adapted on screen.

They better not fuck up the rape scene.

Radiohead pen new Palahniuk score

Quote:
Radiohead have written the score for the film adaptation of Chuck Palahniuk's latest book, the author has revealed to the BBC.

Palahniuk's 1996 novel Fight Club was made into a film starring Brad Pitt and Edward Norton.

His latest book, Choke, is also being adapted for the big screen.

Speaking to 6 Music, Palahniuk said he listened to Radiohead while writing the book, and it was "incredible" the band had written the film score.

"Clark Gregg [Choke director]... knew that I'd written Choke while listening to [Radiohead's 1993 debut album] Pablo Honey, with Creep over and over and over," Palahniuk told the Shaun Keaveny Breakfast Show.

"So Clark got Radiohead to contribute a song; to write a song for the very end of the movie, the final credits.

"Apparently Radiohead liked the movie so much, they've written the score."

Asked if he felt honoured, Palahniuk said: "I quit believing in my own life at this point! My life is just too incredible to be believable anymore. It's a living dream."

Choke is due to be released in November.
