When I was a pothead.... holy fuck. I'm in the Army, and I would fucking never want anyone so much as smoking pot much less doing meth or cocaine with the shit we have to do, espcially if withdrawals were an issue overseas. Holy fucking hell would that be a problem. Any legalization would need to come with institutional standards and testing in order for us to not lose our hold on superiority in the areas where we still do actually have some kind of superiority. I wouldn't mind the legalization so long as corporations and such kept a tight hold on drug testing for quality control and human resource management. I agree with some of the above postings about things such as thinning the herd and allowing Darwinism to take place by allowing the bottom feeders to overdose themselves and off themselves in idiotic ways that would take place with legalized recreational drugs.

There is no joy like snorting a line of U238. Oh, the rush! But I would never want it to be legal. It would cheapen the whole scene. When some pig pulls you over and asks you what you've been doing, if anything. You giggle and you sneeze and know that all his kids will now be hydrocephalic freaks. The irony!
I used to have these conversations in college, then I got sick of them and poisoned the water. Love Canal, they called it. Even the name was dirty. Shufflin' off to Buffalo. |

In the situation that the US govt controls every aspect of a controlled environment, where they make all the rules, hold all the keys, and are the arbiter of every single decision - even in that environment - the "war on drugs" is not working. I speak, of course, of the maximum federal penetentiray system. Now, if in an environment where the govt holds all of the cards, they cannot create a drug free zone - why are we continuing to throw more and more money at that system of rules? Or, we could keep with that logic and spend the "stimulus" money paying voters to pound their heads into brick walls all day. That would at least be a logical progression. |
